30 Jan 2010: Rob Woffinden
Although there was a sad inevitability about the final outcome, everyone at Glasgow Speedway would like to join with the rest of British Speedway to offer our condolences to Sue and Tai on the very sad loss of Rob after a very brave battle.

As many of you may know, Rob was given the terrible news of his illness just before setting off for Glasgow with Tai for a STARs night at Firhill, but still came along and conducted themselves in the most professional of manner.

We are sure that Tai will go on and make his father very proud when he makes his debut in the Grand Prix later in the year. We wish you well.

15 Jan 2010: The Aussie Production Line Continues
The A-Plant Tigers have been very impressed with the current state of Australian Speedway, and with four names already in the side for next season, and young Nick Morris lined up for a March arrival for some practice before teaming up with Buxton in the National League, the Tigers have now added another name to the squad with that of 18 year old New South Wales rider Michael Penfold.

Below is the full press release which explains that Penfold's arrival to the UK will be the middle of the summer, and he will practice alongside the five other Aussies to gain plenty of experience. It is hoped that there will be a large number of Australian prospects to pick from in 2011!

Welcome to Glasgow, Michael

10 Jan 2010: Tigers Re-Open Family Ties For Final Member
The 2010 A-Plant Tigers are now complete with the signing of a young man with a name that is well known in and around Glasgow circles, as he is the fourth member of the family to ride for the side at Ashfield. JAMIE COURTNEY is a very talented rider who has perhaps not made the strides that many predicted but is unquestionably young enough to take some decent leaps in that direction.
